The purpose of the program is to create student clubs in primary, preparatory and secondary schools. These clubs constitute a forum for expressing their thoughts and for discussing subjects of interest, thereby empowering children, helping them understand their basic rights and responsibilities, their role within the community, what constitutes proper behavior, and the best methods of developing a strong personality, in addition to the basic concepts of economics. Social workers are responsible for unfolding these activities in schools.

The project is being implemented in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Qalyubia, Ismailia, and Beni Souef.
We mainly focus on:
Marginalized groups such as children with disability and children at risk (e.g., children living in slums, street children, and children who are made to work at a young age) and understanding their needs. This way, we try to protect them from drug abuse, teach them to respect the environment, and instil into them the basic principles of saving.
We are working with 300.000 students at 450 schools nationwide. To support the implementation, this project in addition involves 450 social workers and 250 NGO volunteers.
Social workers involved have limited skills that need to be developed further. Furthermore, it proves difficult to maintain the money the children saved. Finally, there is a very clear need to develop additional tools for monitoring and evaluation.
